Returns & Refunds Policy

At She Wears Gold, each piece is created with exceptional care and craftsmanship. We hope your jewellery becomes a cherished part of your bridal journey. The following policy outlines our approach to returns and refunds, in line with UK consumer law.

1. Your Statutory Rights

This policy is designed to comply with the Consumer Contracts Regulations and the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.

UK customers generally have the right to cancel eligible online purchases within 14 days of receiving their order, subject to certain exclusions outlined below.

2. Eligibility for Returns

Returns may be accepted if an item:

  • Is faulty, damaged, or not as described

  • Is not an earring, not bespoke or personalised, and is returned under your 14-day cancellation right

All returned items must be unworn, unused, and returned in their original condition and packaging.

3. Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable Items

Due to hygiene, safety, and the nature of our craftsmanship, the following items are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded, unless proven to be faulty:

  • Earrings of any kind (including studs, drops, hoops, and clip-ons)

  • All jewellery created through our Bespoke Service

  • Personalised or made-to-order pieces

  • Items clearly marked as final sale

Bespoke pieces include any jewellery designed, altered, or produced specifically to your individual specifications.

4. Change of Mind Returns

For eligible non-earring items, we accept change-of-mind returns within 14 days of delivery, provided that:

  • The item has not been worn or used

  • All original packaging and protective seals are intact

  • The item is returned in resale-ready condition

Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are the responsibility of the customer.

5. Faulty or Damaged Items

If your jewellery arrives faulty or damaged, please notify us within 14 days of receipt, including:

  • Your order number

  • Clear photographs detailing the issue

Once assessed, we will offer an appropriate remedy : repair, replacement, or refund,  in accordance with UK consumer law.

6. Return Process

To initiate a return, please contact us at [email@example.com] within the applicable timeframe. Returns must be approved before being sent back.

We recommend using a tracked and insured service, as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit.

7. Refunds

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 14 days of:

  • Receipt and inspection of the returned item, or

  • Approval of a faulty item claim

Original delivery charges are non-refundable unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

8. Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If your item is eligible for return, please return it and place a new order separately.

9. Bespoke & Custom Jewellery

All jewellery created through our Bespoke Service is crafted exclusively for you and is therefore non-returnable and non-refundable, unless the item is faulty.
